July Fishing Forecast

Hello Anglers, First of all I have to say thank you to all that fished with me in June. I met some great people and I feel like I made some new friends this past month. Thats the great thing about my job. After having such a dismal May I was a little apprehensive about what June would be like. Well, it was certainly a welcomed surprise. It was almost like May and June traded places this year. June was fantastic! As you will see in the pictures we did very well catching monster snook. Redfish seemed to be around every corner and the trout we caught were bigger than average for June. I tip my hat to Phil and Nancy Baumann. They won 1st and 2nd place in the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Tournament trout division this year. It's a very big tournament with a couple hundred anglers. I put a picture of them with there trophy in the report this month. That is the nicest fishing trophy I have ever seen. Let's get to July. I have to think the bite will slow down a little just because of the heat. Fish'em early or fish'em late will be the best thing to do in the heat. Grouper season opened in state waters July 1st so that will give a little more diversity to the list of targets. The shark bite will be good all summer long. I think I was able to hook a few folks on shark fishing lately with a few giants to the boat. Sharks are a great fish to fish for when the water gets hot due to the fact that we fish for them in deep water. I gotta keep this short. Until next time, good luck and be safe on the water. Remember: don't let your kid be the one that got away, take them fishing. Thanks, Ric Capt. Ric Liles REEL SIMPLE FISHING ADVENTURES CaptainRic@msn.com www.ReelSimpleFishing.com (813)601-2900
