Good news for Apollo Beach Florida

Good news for Apollo Beach Florida by Bonnie Fagoh Soon the residents of the Southshore area of Tampa Bay will not have to travel to Brandon or Bradenton to take in a movie. Construction of the Goodrich Quality 14-screen theatre just off I-75 in centrally located Gibsonton is well underway. This is great news for those of us who live in Riverview, Ruskin, Apollo Beach, Sun City, Wimauma and Gibsonton, cutting the drive to movie night to 10 minutes or less instead of as much as a half hour. Plans include an 80 foot wide screen with floor- to-ceiling viewing, an all-digital projection theatre allowing for the latest technology, luxurious recliner seats, a spacious lobby and a 100 seat restaurant off the lobby. Also at this location will be a Zaxby’s Chicken , Little Caesars Pizza, Dunkin Donuts, T-Mobile, a nail salon, and eventually two dozen more services. Strathmore Development and Goodrich Quality Theatres are working together to make this happen for the South County area. Strathmore has demonstrated a long history of “Community Focus” that it promised to bring to our community as well. The Riverview Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to have Strathmore as a member of the community, and is excited about the potential economic impact this project may have for Southshore. This is just one more example of new services to our area because of the rapid new development of housing communities.
